HOW I GOT HERE

During my long career in broadcasting, cable, digital media and the IT marketplace, as well as my experience on Republican County committees, on school board and state senate races I know how to connect to voters.

The Right Republican

I am the right Republican candidate at the right time to begin reversing the downward losing trend and move the Republican party and our conservative ideals forward as our state legislator.

A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER

I am the owner of Summa E-rate Solutions (https://summae-rate.com/), an agency which helps schools and school districts write technology plans and identify and complete USAC forms for internet access and Wi-Fi related equipment discounts. I am also the managing partner of Summa Solutions LLC (https://summaLCP.com), an agency dedicated to helping businesses and K-12 schools across the county contract with fiber internet carriers and VoIP providers.

Summa Solutions is also a leading technology services company specializing in providing a broad suite of telecom, connectivity and cloud value-based solutions to ensure its portfolio of financial, retail and hospitality companies’ success.

I understand hard work and what’s involved with running a business because I have been in the private sector most of his life. One only succeeds by providing quality service.  My background allows me to identify and empathize with those who deal with unexpected circumstances because I work in a similar environment.

My business experience comes from two industries: broadcasting and cable and the telecommunications industries. I have held managerial marketing and administrative jobs which are complex jobs requiring high organizational skills. I have also held entrepreneurial jobs requiring trade openness, risk taking and creativity.  I am trained in nonprofit and public accounting and have corporate and independent experience marketing to local, state and federal governments and private and public schools.

The convergence of media and data during the past several years is how I began my career in the broadcasting and cable industry and moved to the data communications industry.
In the early 1980s I moved to California and began a regional career in broadcasting and cable with media properties including Gene Autry-owned KMPC AM 710 Hollywood, KTNV-TV (ABC) Las Vegas and KPIX-TV (CBS) San Francisco. I have worked in both sales and marketing management and creative production.

I attended public elementary and high school growing up near Chicago, Ill.  Having a high school graduate mother and a blue-collar laborer father, having Polish spoken in his home, I can relate to the challenges confronting ESL and economically challenged students.

Because of a high school football injury that prevented me from finishing the season, I started performing at age 16 performing on stage in Chicago community theaters and dinner theaters in musicals such as The Sound of Music and Cabaret, before heading off to college at New England College Arundel, Sussex, England to perform as a stage actor in dramatic plays ranging from John Brown in John Brown’s Body, to The King in William Saroyan’s The Cave Dwellers, to John the Witch Boy turned human in Howard Richardson’s Dark of the Moon.

Although a theater arts student in England, I changed majors and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from New England College in Henniker, NH. While at NEC I worked on the Ronald Reagan presidential campaign, represented the school at the Harvard Model UN and was president of the college senate.

I was the first in my family to go to college.  I also has received an Academic Certificate in Accounting from UCLA, and have worked on a school district bond oversight committee.

I am FISCALLY and ENVIRONMENTALLY conservative. I promise to tie accountability measures to funding initiatives every chance I get and I will always try to figure out how to get the best value for the taxpayer.
